PN (Push Notifications) is a message that pops up on a mobile device. It lets your application notify a user of new messages or events even when the user is in passive mode while using your application. On Android devices, when a device receives a push notification, your application’s icon and a message appear in the status bar. PN can be broadcast to all users or sent to just a specific user.
Fortunately, I had a opportunity to play around with this cool feature of mobile device. As shown in following image, I had sent push notification (with funny messages) from my web service server to the mobile app and it works!
